Acid attack on three girls’ in Kalat

Once again a barbaric act of acid attack on three sisters took place in Kalat on 29th April. Three young sisters seriously got injured when two unidentified motorcycle rider threw acid on them in Kalat town, some 150 kilometers from capital of Baluchistan. All three girls’ faces and other limbs burnt by acid. This is second heinous incident of acid attack on girls in Baluchistan, two weeks ago same type of incident happened in Dalbandin on 13th April, when two sisters were being attacked by unknown group – ‘Baloch Ghairatmand Group’ (Baloch Honored Group) which claimed for responsibility.
Said group had warned to women that wear the Hijab, the traditional Muslim headscarf, and not to go to markets without accompanying men from their families.
The attacks have criticized by Balochistans’ political leaders as well as armed resisting groups, .,cvml;they said that these had been carried out by those elements who want to push Baloch nation in stone age, they are interpreting Islam on desired way and distorting the traditions.
No group has accepted responsibility of Kalat attack on girls yet, but before the happening unpleasant incident a group named (Rahe Hidayat) had threatened Kalat’s Grammar Schools, English Language Centers and Vocational Centers students to give-up learning process in institutions and don’t come out of house boundaries without any man. Though political, social and human rights activists protested against this and condemned such threatening but police and government have not noticed of this and made any preemptive measures.
Neither teaching of Islam let throwing of acid on girls nor any norm of Baloch culture let to do so. Baloch activists have blame that these dark deeds of foes to aggravate situations because they have plot to libel Baloch nation with uncivilized and beast among the nations row in world, while Baloch is engage in fighting war for freedom. It Is headache for rivals that Baloch women is getting much advance in education and science fields, and participation of her in ongoing Baloch movement is creating stress for opponent because they never want that Baloch nation be prosper. Therefore, they create hardships for Baloch women to waive from movement and not to contribute in movement of freedom for Baluchistan.
Baloch political parties, Baloch student organizations, human rights organizations, social organization and Baloch fighters must trace the culprits and penalize them for encouragement of women in participation of Baloch movement as well in education and development sectors.
