Yousaf Ajab Baloch
Yousaf Ajab is a journalist, blogger and human rights defender. Born in Baluchistan’s historic city of Kalat in 1981.Currently he is working as Sub-Editor at English Magazine Monthly Bolan Voice, one of the circulated English magazines of Balochistan. Yousaf holds a Master’s degree in International Relations. He completed a short-term Educational Programme in Journalism in 2009, from Alam Iqbal Open University with journalistic language, editing, editorial writing, feature writing, column and review writing. His current work and reporting interests include editing, press review writing, human rights issues, mainly rights of journalists, political activists, women and children in Balochistan.
Yousaf Ajab founded Monthly Harbi in 2002 and worked as editor for two years. In 2005 he worked with Daily Tahmeer Balochistan as reporter. Yousaf contributed to editorial pages of Daily Azadi Quetta and Daily Asaap Quetta and wrote a weekly column “Qeqan Nama”, focusing Baluchistan’s social and political issues. He also worked as Sub-Editor at English Magazine Monthly Bolan Voice in 2009 and 2010. He joined the Baloch Hal, The first online English newspaper of Balochistan as staff writer in 2010.
Yousaf Ajab is author of two books in Brahvi language. He contributes to The Baloch Hal, Viewpoint online, Daily Times Lahore, Dawn.com and Bolan Voice Quetta.
